Qualification
Bachelor's
degree in Engineering (with exposures on Insurance - Loss & Risk Adjuster
Industry).
Minimum 5 years of
experience in EPC or construction insurance (Oil & Gas preferred).
Strong understanding of EPC
contracts and insurance frameworks (FIDIC, NEC, bespoke).
Familiarity with Indonesian
and international insurance practices.
Experience in claim
processing and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication,
negotiation, and documentation skills.
Ability to work across
disciplines with project, legal, and commercial teams.
Responsibility
A. Project Insurance Management
- Review, prepare, and negotiate insurance terms and conditions for (but not limited to) :§ Comprehensive General Liability (CGL)
§ Automobile Liability
§ Third Party Property
Damage & Bodily Injury
§ Marine Cargo Insurance
§ Any other
project-specific coverage required under the EPC Contract
Liaise with insurance brokers and underwriters to finalize appropriate coverage in line with contractual scope and risk profile.
- Manage issuance and compliance of
insurance certificates and endorsements required for project execution.
- Review
and monitor Erection All Risk (EAR) insurance provided by the client to
ensure alignment with contractor risk exposure.
B. Claim Handling & Coordination
Act as
focal point in the event of an insurance-related incident/claim. Coordinate
with:
§ Insurance providers
§ Client representatives
§ Third-party assessors
or loss adjusters
Ensure
timely and accurate documentation and follow-up of claims until closure.
C. Contractual & Risk Advisory
- Review draft
client contracts (during proposal or project execution) to:
§ Assess insurance
requirements and risks to be covered
§ Provide advice to
Project Manager and Proposal/Legal teams
§ Recommend additional
coverages or clarifications to protect company interests
§ Contribute to risk
registers, mitigation plans, and contract deviation logs.
